A 17-year-old suspected of sexual assault was arrested by police after allegedly being mauled along Bliss Street, Barangay 1, La Carlota City, late Thursday evening.
Police identified the suspect as Eithel Jan Paclibar, a resident of FJE Village, Barangay Batuan in the said city.
Official reports by La Carlota City police said Paclibar showed up to the station claiming he was allegedly mauled by several unidentified people.
However, after verifying his records, cops found Paclibar had a warrant of arrest stemming from sexual assault charges.
The warrant, issued by Judge Mila Yap-Camiso of the La Carlota City Regional Trial Court-Branch 63 on September 27, 2017, was associated with Criminal Case No. 5395.
The suspect was immediately arrested.
Paclibar is presently detained on P200,000 bail at the La Carlota City Police Station./WDJ
