During the recent PDP-Laban mass oath-taking, which saw around 14,000 participants attend ceremonies in Victorias City and Bacolod City, House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez called out the Liberal Party (LP), claiming they were preventing the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte from proceeding with its agenda.
He said, the president vowed to change the country, with the main focus being the campaign to combat criminality, however, he said the LP is constantly blocking their plans.
Alvarez added, the administration is also engaged in an anti-poverty campaign, which he said is also being blocked by the LP.
“I will guarantee to everyone, we will hasten it,” the speaker declared.
He noted, despite the opposition, Alvarez credited the administration for criminal incidents reportedly dropping by 50 percent./WDJ
