A motorcyclist was injured after striking road barriers around a construction site in Barangay Suay, Himamaylan City, early Friday morning.
Police identified the victim as Eddie Boy Trestiza, a resident Barangay Tooy in the said city.
According to Himamaylan City Police Station traffic investigators, the motorist struck several barriers installed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) amid ongoing road construction.
Trestiza suffered several cuts and bruises across different parts of his body and was immediately rushed by local residents to the city’s district hospital for medical treatment.
Traffic investigators attributed the accident to poor visibility as there are no lighting fixtures installed in the said area, along with the lack of early warning devices, which are used to warn motorists of ongoing construction./WDJ
