P40M fishing port turned over in Antique

The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority turned over the New Fishing Port in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.

The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) turned over the New Fishing Port earlier this week in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, which cost around P40 million.

According to Iloilo Fish Port Complex Port Manager Custodio Balaowing, the structure will enhance the livelihood of fisherfolk, increase commercial fishing, and improve the overall fishing industry of the municipality.
Meanwhile, Mayor Elmer C. Untaran expressed his gratitude to the PFDA.
Also in attendance during the ceremony were Iloilo Provincial Board Members Fernando Corvera and Pio Jessielito Sumande, Lieutenant Junior Grade Rockclif C. Buling of the Philippine Coast Guard, Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Office (MEEDO) staff, among others./WDJ
