Land Transportation Office-Region VI (LTO-6) Director Roland Ramos recently met with Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr., to discuss a proposal to deputize Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel to augment LTO officials during operations.
“That is a good move and [we] will give our 100% cooperation,” said Castil.
The NOPPO chief discussed the ongoing problem of motorists operating unregistered motor vehicles.
“Criminals often use unregistered motorcycles,” he explained. “If we can reduce their numbers, we will be able to prevent them from committing crimes.”/WDJ
