A 33-year-old man was declared dead after taking his own life inside his home at Hacienda Danao, Barangay Haguimit, La Carlota City, Tuesday.
Police refused to identify the victim, but confirmed he is a native of the said city.
La Carlota City police said the victim was found hanging lifeless by his wife.
The victim’s wife and his family members rushed him to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in La Carlota City, but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Police ruled out any foul play, but determined the victim killed himself due to poverty./WDJ
