Fyrfyters narrowly defeated BAPRO, 70-69, earlier this week in the ongoing 2017 D’League at the STI-West Negros University gym.
While the eventual winners held a slim 15-13 lead in the first period, BAPRO was able to come back in the subsequent quarter, taking a 34-29 lead going into the break.
The lead would later extend to 55-44 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the final period, Larry Retoriano pushed Fyrfyters ahead by delivering a huge 19 points, with Mark Binguan contributing an additional 10.
Retoriano led the win with his fourth quarter output, followed by Binguan, who scored a total 16 points.
In the other game, Paul Cruz led POC with 14 points in their 84-58 win over Bacolod Basketball Club-Toby’s (BBC-Toby’s)./WDJ
