Five players for Ceres-Negros FC have been called up for international duty, joining the Philippine national football team, the Azkals, in their next 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification round match against Yemen next week, October 10, at the Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar.
Among those making the roster include midfielders Iain Ramsay, Kevin Ingreso, and Manuel Ott; and defenders Carli de Murga and Junior Muñoz.
The team is coming off a 2-2 draw against Yemen, which took place last month at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, home grounds for the Negrense club.
The Azkals currently lead Group F with seven points, as Yemen sits in second place with five. The top two teams from each group qualify for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from January 5 and February 1./WDJ
