Silay City anti-illegal drug unit arrests newly-identified pushers

Three newly-identified drug pushers were arrested late Saturday morning at Antonio Luna Interior, Barangay Mambulac, Silay City by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
Police identified the suspects as 49-year-old Mary June Canson and 35-year-old Lany Vaha of the said area; alongside 40-year-old Iris Christopher Sayo of Burgos Bonifacio, Barangay 2 in the said city.
Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said the suspects were caught in the act of packing suspected shabu, valued around P7,000.
Recovered from the suspects were a sachet with traces of suspected shabu, three disposable lighters, scissors, a mobile phone, and other drug paraphernalia.
The confiscated items were brought to the provincial crime laboratory in Bacolod City for examination.
The three are currently under the custody of the Silay City Police Station and face charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
