Following attacks by President Rodrigo Duterte labeling Iloilo as the most “shabu-lized” province in the country, the Iloilo Economic and Development Foundation, Inc. (ILED) recently announced they plan to “reaffirm pride” in Iloilo.

“We need to reaffirm our pride in Iloilo and to declare Iloilo ready as ever to take its place among the most livable and business friendly locations,” said ILED President Jocelyn Jalandoni-Perez. “We must ensure we do what we can to stay on track.”
ILED Chairperson Narz Lim said Ilonggos are responsible for protecting the province, while former ILED chairperson Rex Drilon II urged various sectors to come up with a plan on countering the president’s statements./WDJ
