The 8th Negros First Governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr., Cup Open Boxing Championships is scheduled to take place in Sagay City from October 15 to 21.
According to Negros Occidental Provincial Sports Coordinator Angel Verdeflor, boxers from the seven congressional districts of Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, will participate in the tournament, competing in different weight classes.
Last year’s tournament was held in Pontevedra, where the 6th District won the overall championship./WDJ
