The City Health Office (CHO) health and sanitation team will be conducting inspections of all food kiosks at the two festival sites once the opening of the MassKara Festival takes place on Sunday.
Assistant City Health Officer, Dr. Jovie Vergara, said many kiosks are expected to temporarily sell their food at the Bacolod City Public Plaza and the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC). The agency has since released several requirements, similar to those issued regular food sellers.
Vergara said they want to make sure all food kiosks are following proper sanitary practices in preparing food.
He added, kiosk operators are also required to secure health certificates, which would be valid for three years./WDJ
