The Iloilo City Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), in partnership with the Iloilo City chapter of the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. (FSCAP), will observe Elderly Filipino Week, starting on Sunday, October 1, and running until October 7.
“We encourage senior citizens to join in this celebration,” said OSCA head Elipidio Azuelo.
Events begin with a “Walk for Life” at SM City Iloilo on October 1, with a mass at the San Jose Parish Church and a parade the following day.
A spiritual enhancement will take place at the Iloilo City Diamond Jubilee Hall on October 3, followed by the Search for Golden King and Queen at SM City Iloilo the next day.
On Thursday, October 5, the Huluaran sang Katigulangan Awards 2017 will take place, also at SM City Iloilo.
A regional cultural presentation will take place at the Hotel del Rio the following day, with a culminating event at the Iloilo Grand Hotel on Saturday, October 7.
