Animal Welfare Week launches in Bacolod City

Bacolod Animal Welfare Awareness Week (BAWAW) was officially launched yesterday with a ceremony at SM CityBacolod. The event is set to run until Wednesday, October 4.
A photo exhibit opened on the second floor of the mall, which will run throughout the duration of the observance.
Meanwhile, free rabies vaccinations were conducted at the Bacolod City Government Center that afternoon.
A Community Animal Rescue Efforts (CARE) clinic is set to be inaugurated tomorrow at Purok Kametal in Barangay Mandalagan; while “Dine with the PAWS” will take place on Sunday, October 1, at the Vikings restaurant in the said mall.
A celebration of St. Francis of Assisi World Animal Day is also scheduled for October 4./WDJ
