Both Nena’s and Akasya earned their second wins earlier this week in the ongoing 2017 D’League at the STI-West Negros University gym.
Nena’s defeated BAPRO, 57-43, while Akasya beat POC, 72-60.
BAPRO carried a 31-19 lead going into the second half. Even going into the final quarter, Nena’s was still down 40-31.
However, in that fourth period, JR Garganera’s seven points and Remor Taronas’ six led the team on a 26-9 run, allowing them to come from behind and take the win.
Both Garganera and Taronas ended the game with 11 points each, leading Nena’s in scoring. However, despite the loss, Badong Eufre contributed a total 14 points to BAPRO’s haul.
In the other game, Dominic Acosta led Akasya with 23 points, followed by Genmar Zagado with 13./WDJ
