Suspects nabbed after committing robbery at Bredco

Two robbers were arrested by members of Police Station 2 (PS2) after allegedly committing a robbery at the Bredco seawall, located in Barangay 10, Bacolod City, Saturday morning.

Police identified the victim as Francis Sotomil.

According to PS2 deputy commander Police Inspector Richard Lao, the two suspects, identified as 38-year-old Robert Chua and 22-year-old Leo Higuerao, both of Silay City, were brought to the station, where they were positively identified by Sotomil as the men who took his belongings.

Recovered from the suspects were a handbag containing a mobile phone worth P20,000, a pocket WiFi device, and other belongings owned by Sotomil’s friends.

Currently, the suspects are detained at the custodial facility of PS2 and facing robbery charges./MIS, WDJ
