John Lawrence Donguines won the Y’s Men’s Club Negros Occidental 16-and-Under Rapid Chess Championships over the weekend at the 888 Chinatown Square Premier Mall in Bacolod City.

The victor took home P3,000, a trophy, and a medal.

Aeron Keife Charles Sinining took second place, winning P2,000; while Kenneth Allen Ballo-allo finished in third place, earning P1,500.

Meanwhile, Christian Pelione was named Best 10-Under, while CJ Gan won Best 14-Under./JSG, WDJ
