The head of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) investigation unit yesterday revealed the crime rate in Bacolod City has been on the decline over the past three years, a contrast to recent social media posts claiming the city is not safe.

According to BCPO Investigation and Detective Management Unit (IDMU) head, Police Superintendent Levy Pangue, the current number of crime volume cases for 2017 is 2,403; a number that has gradually declined from the 5,677 recorded in 2014.
