The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) yesterday announced they are looking to achieve a “zero crime rate” during the annual MassKara Festival, set to take place in Bacolod City next month.
According to BCPO acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, local law enforcement has been split into task groups to oversee the festival, including one focused on monitoring the security and safety of spectators.
He noted, the office is still awaiting the approval of a gun ban, along with plans to jam mobile phone signals at select festival sites.
Wanky added, those caught instigating trouble during festivities will be locked in a small container van, which will be designated at various locations throughout the observance./DGB, WDJ
