Man mauled after firing a gun in Tangub

A man reportedly firing a gun indiscriminately in front of a barangay tanod outpost in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City was mauled by bystanders early Thursday morning.

Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old John Mark Ebasco, a resident of Purok Greenfield 1 in the said barangay.

According to authorities, after being mauled by bystanders, Ebasco was apprehended by Barangay Tanods Harrison Mendoza and Richie Salas.

Recovered from the suspect was an improvised gun, wrapped in black electrical tape, loaded with one empty cartridge of caliber .45 ammunition, and tied with galvanized wire.

The suspect is currently being detained by Police Station 8./MIS, WDJ
