Suspected Aki Cuadra robbery group member arrested in Bacolod City

A suspected member of the Aki Cuadra robbery group was arrested by Police Station 2 (PS2) after conducting a buy-bust operation, yesterday afternoon.

Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Edmar Escala, the subject of the operation, and a resident of Purok Narra Baybay, Barangay 8, Bacolod City.

According to PS2 commander, Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, they recovered several sachets of suspected shabu and two Yamaha motorcycles that had been stripped for parts and believed to be stolen vehicle.

The suspect is currently under the custody of PS2, where he faces charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; and RA 10883, the New Anti-Carnapping Act 2016./MIS,WDJ
