The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Simplicio A. Palanca Activities Center took place yesterday on the fourth floor of the Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade building, located in the Capitol Shopping area of Bacolod City.

“This is for the use of the Chamber,” said Chamber Volunteer Fire Brigade chairman Alfredo Barcelona. “This will be open to others, too.”
“This center was built because of Atty. Palanca,” he explained. “He is Chinese and he is very open when it comes to the needs of the community we serve.”
“May his legacy inspire us to continue answering the call to serve our community and country,” Barcelona added.
The ribbon-cutting was also part of the organization’s 40th anniversary observance./PLL, WDJ
