The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) announced they will be opening their power supplier bidding process to observers, a role fulfilled by consumer-members.
In a press conference yesterday, Ceneco President Roy Cordova said the presence of observers is based on the procurement guidelines of RA 10531, or the National Electrification Administration Reform Act of 2013.
Ceneco corporate planning department manager, Engr. Leomel Tambanillo, said the power co-op currently receives a 64-megawatt (MW) base load from the Korean Electric Power Corporation-Salcon Power Corporation (Kepco-SPC).
He noted, other suppliers include 35 MW from the Palm Concepcion Power Corporation, 20 MW from Green Core Geothermal, Inc., and 18.9 MW from Energreen Power Development and Management, Inc./WDJ
