Man found with multiple stab wounds in Candoni

The body of a man discovered on Monday in Candoni, Negros Occidental was found with multiple stab wounds.
Police identified the fatality as 36-year-old Julie Yap, a resident of Sitio Kalag-Kalag, Barangay Caningay in the said municipality.
According to Candoni Assistance on Rescue and Emergency Services (CARES) head Nicholas Lachica, at least 10 stab wounds were found on Yap’s chest, back, shoulder, sides, and feet.
He added, the victim was last seen Sunday night selling pigs and out for drinks with friends.
It was reported that a friend of the victim sought assistance after Yap was attacked by four unidentified suspects.
However, the victim’s remains were found following a search by local residents.
Police are currently looking into identifying the attackers./WDJ
