Davao Aguilas FC recently announced former Philippines U18 and U23 head coach Marlon Maro would replace Gary Phillips as coach.
With their next Philippines Football League (PFL) match scheduled for today, against Ceres-Negros FC at the Davao del Norte Sports Complex in Tagum City, Maro expressed confidence ahead of the face-off.
“We only have one option, and that’s winning,” he declared. “Mathematically, everything is still possible.”
The club is currently winless after 15 matches.
Maro projected, “Winning beginning today,” adding he is still confident of the possibility of finishing among the top four clubs in the league, wherein Davao would qualify for the finals series.
The two clubs last played over the weekend at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, where the Negrense club won, 3-1./WDJ
