The local National Police Commission (Napolcom) yesterday announced around 200 members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) may be removed after it was discovered they had cheated on their entrance examinations.
In a radio interview, Napolcom-Negros Island Region head, Atty. Joseph Celis, said cheating has been going on since 2011, while he was serving as assistant regional director for the Napolcom office in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
At the time, it was discovered 386 examinees gave the same answers.
He added, administrative cases were filed against those found cheating and, noted, the 200 said officers may face similar circumstances if found guilty.
Meanwhile, Celis also mentioned the proliferation of fake licenses also took place in ARMM, but the same has yet to be seen under Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6)./WDJ
