Psalmstre Enterprises, Inc. (PEI) founder and President Jaime V. Acosta recently invited a television crew to his office in Taytay, Rizal in an effort to refute claims some employees were not being paid.
Prior to the said employees airing their concerns on TV5 program “Raffy Tulfo in Action,” Acosta said a dialogue was conducted with the said staff, as part of his “open door policy,” where he explained changes to the salary period, which resulted in delays in the release of their pay.
He noted, once the issue was resolved, employees received advances.
In terms of allegations employees are not able to access benefits, Acosta said the company is still updating Social Security System (SSS) payments before employees can acquire loans.
Acosta also expressed his appreciation for the television crew for airing both sides of the issue.
Meanwhile, the PEI head discussed future company activities, including their sponsorship of the Mr. Grand International pageant, along with plans to further expand their global presence and an upcoming business trip to the United States.
“We have lots of OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) and Pinoy immigrants in the US so that is included in our immediate business plans now, including, of course, widening and strengthening our distribution in the Middle East,” Acosta noted./WDJ
