STI-West Negros University advanced to the finals of the Negros First DFL Men’s Open over the weekend after defeating La Carlota City FC, 3-0, following a 2-2 draw in their first leg.

In the other match, despite a narrow 1-0 loss to San Carlos City FC, a 4-2 victory in the first leg put Villa Angela FC into the championship match.

Niel John Panes, Adonis Abela, and Jimiel Valiao each delivered for STI-WNU.

Meanwhile, a Mike Benedicto own goal gave San Carlos City FC the edge.

The finals are tentatively scheduled for next month.

Additionally, La Carlota City FC and San Carlos City FC will meet in the consolation match./JSG, WDJ
