La Castellana Municipal Police chief, Police Chief Inspector Irma Teozon, yesterday cleared Town Councilor White Nicor of any links to illegal drugs.
Following reports of illegal drug suspects recently apprehended by Moises Padilla municipal police claiming Nicor was their source, Teozon said the town councilor has otherwise not been identified amid their ongoing monitoring of illegal drug activity in La Castellana.
Nicor denied all allegations, saying, “It is plain and simple political harassment.”
He was also subjected to two drug tests, wherein he tested negative for both.
The local official admitted to previously using illegal drugs, along with engaging in illegal gambling, which he says he has since stopped.
He added, his name continues to be brought up on this matter because of a “well-known personality in the province,” however he refused to identify the said individual.
Meanwhile, La Castellana Mayor Rhumyla Nicor Mangilimutan, the councilor’s sister, dared those claiming Nicor is linked with illegal drugs to show proof. The mayor stated, if they can provide proof showing connections to illegal drugs, she would shoot her brother dead./WDJ
