Grandfather stabbed by grandson in Isabela

A grandfather was stabbed by his grandson outside his home at Sitio Tacong, Barangay Sikatuna, Isabela in Negros Occidental, early Tuesday morning.
Local police identified the victim as 59-year-old Danilo Quirante, a resident of the said sitio.
According to authorities, Quirante heard a gunshot, prompting him to inspect the immediate area surrounding his home. Upon shouting, “Who fired a gun?” he was stabbed by his grandson, identified as 27-year-old Junrey Gador, a resident of Sitio Inakpan in the said barangay.
The victim was first sent to Barrio-Luz Sikatuna Hospital before being transferred to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Memorial District Hospital, and later to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, for the treatment of stab wounds to his right arm, chest, and forehead.
The Isabela Municipal Police Station is currently coordinating with Barangay Sikatuna officials regarding the incident./WDJ
