AACI Trading recently defeated AACI Transport, 83-69, in their opening game of the Fil-Sino Athletic Club Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.
The tournament opened last week on September 6.
AACI Trading took an early lead, taking a 17-14 advantage in the first period.
They went on to extend that lead to 42-34 by halftime.
Following two three-pointers from Aaron Arroyo, AACI Transport stayed within striking distance, going into the final period down 42-34.
However, an AACI Trading fast break, led by Bren Tajonera and Vincent Tan, managed to give the eventual winners a double-digit margin.
Mark Binguan led the victors with 20 points, followed by Tan with 13, Chris Lim – 12, and Tajonera – 11./WDJ
