DSSD provides P500K in loans to low-income youth

The Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) yesterday distributed a total of P500,000 in livelihood assistance, in the form of loans, to 25 members of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines and another 25 members of Negosyey of Bacolod.

Each beneficiary received P10,000.
According to DSSD head Pacita Tero, the funds are payable in one year and are intended to provide an opportunity for beneficiaries to start a small business.
