A mother and son were robbed by unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects at their residence at Block 27, Lot 114, NHA-Phase 4, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, Saturday.
Police identified the mother as 50-year-old Arlene Espera, but did not name her son.
Investigators from Police Station 8 (PS8) said Espera’s son was waiting outside the house when the unidentified suspects, riding a motorcycle with black and red markings, stopped in front of him and aimed an unknown caliber of firearm at him.
After taking the victim’s phone, the suspects forced themselves into the home, where the son’s hands and feet were tied with a mosquito net.
Upon arriving home from work, Espera found the house ransacked.
The suspects, still inside the residence, aimed the said firearm at the mother. She was then brought to the room where her son was being held captive.
The suspects stole a 24-inch television, a gas range, a cake mixer, cash amounting to P10,000, a rice cooker, two mobile phones, an electric drill, and two land titles.
PS8 is currently investigating the possible identities of the suspects./WDJ
