Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, said his office recently identified the eight drug lords reportedly operating throughout Bacolod City and is currently monitoring their whereabouts.
In a radio interview over the weekend, Wanky believes the drug lords, said to be linked with the Cuadra Group, Berya Group, and Camaria Group, are hiding in Bacolod City or in other parts of Negros Occidental.
Earlier, Wanky stated the eight drug lords are all “well-known,” adding they were already considered infamous before other drug lords like Richard ‘Buang’ Prevendido and Melvin ‘Boyet’ Odicta, Sr. rose to prominence.
Additionally, while there are no ongoing investigations into government officials linked to drug lords, the city police chief did not rule out the possibility of existing connections./WDJ
