Former Kaya FC and Union Football Club-Manila coach Maor Rozen yesterday launched the Philippine edition of his book, Tactics from the Roots, in Bacolod City.
“This book talks about tactics from what I have observed,” said the author. “Maybe this can also be a tool for the Filipino coach.”
The clubs he coached were both parts of the now-defunct United Football League (UFL).

Rozen also noted the visible growth of football in the province.
“When I first came here, I could see the passion for the game but the level of football wasn’t as high,” he observed. “Coming back now, you can see how the game has grown not only in terms of popularity but also tactically.”
Tarlac first district Rep. Carlos Cojuangco, president and chairman of COC Foundation, Inc., the book’s publisher, called the book “essential for developing football players from the grassroots.”/JSG, WDJ
