The Sandiganbayan recently found former Kabankalan City Councilor Carlo Villavicencio guilty of sexual harassment, stemming from a 2005 case surrounding his former technical assistant.

According to the decision by Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Ma. Theresa Dolores Gomez-Estoesta, the former city official took advantage of his position by demanding dates and making sexual advances towards the staff member.

Villavicencio pled guilty in violation of RA 7877, or the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995, during pre-trial last month in Cebu City and was ordered to pay P10,000./DGB, WDJ
