After previously reporting the ongoing construction of the Magsaysay flyover, along Araneta Street, was on schedule and projecting it could be done by October, in time for the MassKara Festival, Bacolod Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya admitted it would not be completed that early.

He reiterated the flyover’s initial completion date is towards the end of November.

Last month, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) began installing heavy steel supports for the flyover, which resulted in the roads to be closed for a period of time.

The flyover project is said to cost around P600 million, with the congressman previously quoting the total cost of infrastructure projects this year at P1 billion./PLL, WDJ
