The observance runs throughout the month of September.

Negros Occidental Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and Provincial Peace and Order Council Secretariat head, Dr. Ma. Lina Sanogal, addressed the event, which was attended by Capitol employees, representatives from national government agencies, members of the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police (PNP), among others.

According to Sanogal, the province has been “blessed” with being a peaceful area and credited infrastructure with contributing to continued peace.

A holy mass was also held, celebrated by San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza./WDJ
