During the recent inauguration of the new Himamaylan City Hall, Mayor Agustin Ernesto Bascon said the Love Negros political coalition offered their endorsement if he were to run for Negros Occidental fifth district representative, set to be vacated by incumbent Rep. Alejandro Mirasol in 2019.
However, Bascon said he is still undecided on the matter.
“Only God knows what will be my next step,” he said.
The mayor said he believes Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez was behind the endorsement.
