A man was stabbed to death by his live-in partner’s ex-boyfriend along Luzuriaga Street, Bacolod City early morning yesterday.
Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Elmer Navares Margario, resident of Villa Maria, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
Police reports show the incident happened around 4 a.m. and the victim was brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Margario sustained a stab wound on the left side of his chest.
According to Police Senior Inspector Leo Estopa of Police Station 1, the incident could have been triggered by jealousy.
Police said the victim and a certain “Alias Kapid” of Manapla had been exchanging text messages prior to the incident.
The station is now conducting a man-hunt operation for the possible arrest of the suspect./WDJ
