A young man was caught vandalizing properties at Purok Masinadyahon, Brgy. 12, Bacolod City late Tuesday evening.
Police identified the suspect as 19-year-old Gerard Daza, resident of Villa Beach, Barangay Zone 3, Cadiz City.
A report from Police Station 1 stated that a concerned citizen called the station to report an incident of vandalism. Responding policemen led by Leo Estopa arrested Daza for violating City Ordinance No. 534 ( Prohibiting the Act of Vandalism) and R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after sachets of suspected marijuana were found in his possession.
Police confiscated from Daza one spray paint, two small transparent sachets of suspected marijuana, 10 big sachets of suspected marijuana, a tumbler of suspected marijuana, a sling bag, and P1,020 cash of different denomination.
