The Philippine Men’s Football Team is scheduled to arrive in Bacolod City at 1:30 p.m. today to prepare for the Sept. 5 AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers’ match against Yemen at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

The Thomas Dooley squad is currently on top of Group F with six points after wins over Nepal and Tajikistan early this year.
However, while the Negrense fans are excited for the arrival of the national squad, Fil-German midfielder and Ceres Negros FC standout Stephan Schrock has announced his retirement from national duty. Schrock is the third Ceres player to hang his Azkals’ jersey after goalkeeper Roland Muller and midfielder Martin Steuble.
In a social media post, Schrock said it was an honor to wear the national team jersey and he is thankful to be part of the Azkals.
Meanwhile, PFF general-secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes is inviting all football fans to watch and support the Azkals in their match against Yemen.
