Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director Police Senior Supt. Jack Wanky said they have received information of an alleged hideout being used by a certain robbery group operating locally.
In a radio interview over the weekend, Wanky said they are now zeroing in on the alleged hideout and the BCPO’s Theft and Robbery Task Force are monitoring the movement of the suspected thieves.
Although he did not specifically state the name of the robbery group, the BCPO has been recently arresting suspected members of the notorious Aki Cuadra robbery group.
Wanky also said he is hoping the case would further develop and result to the arrest of the members and its leaders in order to drastically lessen the number of theft and robbery cases in the city.
He further added, the number of theft cases in recent days has decreased following anti-criminality operations in Bacolod and other neighboring towns and cities where the Aki Cuadra robbery group is active./WDJ
