Student wounded after being shot near Mandalagan gas station

A 22-year-old student suffered a wound to his right leg after being shot by an unidentified suspect near a Caltex gas station along Lacson Street in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City, early Friday morning.
Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Robert Soqueña, a resident of Bangga Totong 1, Barangay Felisa in the said city.
According to Police Station 3 (PS3) investigators, Soqueña was drinking with friends and walking in the area where the shooting took place when an unidentified person shot him with an unknown caliber of firearm.
The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) for medical treatment, while the suspect fled on a black Rusi motorcycle with no license plates.
PS3 is now conducting a follow-up investigation into the identification and possible arrest of the suspect./WDJ
