The Negros Press Club, in partnership with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP) and the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), will hold a Hiligaynon proficiency seminar today, August 26, in the President’s Hall at UNO-R from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
According to Press Club President Renato Duran, the seminar is geared towards “equipping local broadcasters with further knowledge and skills on the proper use of Hiligaynon as an instrument of communicating.”
West Visayas State University-College of Communications dean, Dr. Carmencita Robles, will serve as speaker, expected to discuss “Save Hiligaynon: A Call for Practitioners in the Media.”
Around 50 broadcasters and 30 mass communication students are expected to attend the event./WDJ
