San Carlos City Football Club coach John Carmona recently lauded the local sports program in the city.
“Philippine football is now benefiting [from] the good program started by the local government,” he said.
Earlier this month, the city sent players, as part of the Negros Occidental Football Association-Dynamic Football League team, to compete in the Soong Ching Ling Cup, which took place in the cities of Qinhuangdao and Beijing in China.
The city is also home to Alisa Dolino and Charise Bebe Lemoran of the Philippine Malditas, who are currently competing in the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Additionally, Stephanie Ann Logastua, Adrian Jupiter Juanillo, Elijah Zedric Ballesteros, and Steve Laurence Nieves, all of San Carlos City, were recently selected to take part in the Globe TM Football para sa Bayan program./WDJ
