Bacolod City Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya recently said he hopes bidding for a new City Health Office (CHO) begins next month, noting an initial P20 million has already been set aside for the construction.
The building is estimated to cost around P65 million.
He pointed out the Department of Health (DOH) also pledged funding for the construction, saying once bidding is complete, the winning contractor can begin work immediately.
The congressman said the new building would include new medical facilities, including a lying-in clinic.
Gasataya also confirmed, documents for a third flyover project for the city is currently with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). Meanwhile, construction on the Burgos-Circumferential Road flyover is expected to begin next year./WDJ
