During an award ceremony earlier this month, the Philippine National Police (PNP) named the San Jose Municipal Police Station of San Jose de Buenavista, Antique as the Best Municipal Police Station.

The ceremony, which recognizes outstanding individuals and groups in law enforcement, took place at Camp Crame, in observance of the 116th anniversary of the PNP.
San Jose Mayor Elmer Untaran encouraged his police force to maintain their standard of performance and pushed for continued protection of police officers and urged the public to trust law enforcement.
The mayor, alongside town council members Erech Alocilja and Chris John Banusing, received the award from President Rodrigo Duterte, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Officer-In-Charge Catalino Cuy, and PNP Director General Ronald dela Rosa./WDJ
