Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) Master Nelson Villanueva of La Carlota City won the Tan Sri Lee Loy Seng Perak Grand Prix Chess Championship 2017 over the weekend at the Syuen Hotel in Ipoh, Malaysia.
Meanwhile FM Alekhine Nouri of Escalante City took second place, followed by another Filipino chess player, National Master Stewart Manaog, in third place./WDJ
