DOTr allocates P140M for airport development in Antique

DOTr recently allocated P140 million for the development of the Evelio B. Javier Airport in San Jose, Antique, with funding going towards improving and extending the runway.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) recently allocated P140 million for the development of the Evelio B. Javier Airport in San Jose, Antique.
According to Vice Governor Edgar Denosta, the funding will go towards improving and extending the runway.
He added, Philippine Airlines previously conducted an assessment and indicated areas of the runway in need of repair.
The Antique provincial government plans to utilize P100 million of the funds for the purchase of an adjacent lot in order to expand the airport terminal and provide additional parking.
Meanwhile, an additional P110 million is also expected in 2018 for additional developments to the airport./WDJ
